Waterford Festival Food GIY MIY

Jodi Smith Horticulturalist with Glanbia gave advise on the soil type for your container  Using an old  wheel barrow, Jodi placed broken pots in the bottom of wheelbarrow fo drainage and suggested can also use polystyrine . He then placed some multi purpose compost followed by a little topsoil and lastly placed some perlite on the top. This was all mixed together and  will be a good soil for your mobile garden. Information and ideas for mobile containers was circulated to all present and again the emphasis was on creativity and to ensure that your garden is indeed mobile and also relate to your instructions. Information on suitable herbs /plants was issued by GIY Jill O'Connoravailable regarding container and suitable herbs/vegetables etc.
