Waterford Images

Photo Archive

The Library Service has just added a new Digital Photo Archive to its suite of online resource tools which also includes the Waterford Places database and Library Catalogue. Together, they provide organised access to the growing digital collections of Waterford County Council Library Service.

Images currently available on the Image Archive include:

• Tourism Images of Waterford County (Visit-Net Collection).
• Aerial Photographs of County Waterford.
• Margaret Stokes Collection.
• Decorated Tombstones of East Waterford.
• Sean Byrne Collection
• Lawrence Collection.

As the project develops, additional collections representing the social, political, economic, cultural and natural heritage aspects of County Waterford will be published online. This will provide the basis for a comprehensive archive chronicling the events and character of local areas, towns, communities and organisations.
