Waterford Count Council is keen to communicate with all its citizens and to use a variety of social media to do so.
We are online (to varying extents) with Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube. If you use these media, please be aware of our FAQ's below relating to them:
Twitter:-
- Twitter will be managed throughout normal working hours 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Out-of-hours Twitter will be monitored, but you may not get an immediate response.
- All News and Events items from our County Council website will also be routed to Twitter to alert people to what is going on.
- Twitter will be used as part of our strategy for communicating to the public about emergency situations, such as bad weather or water supply issues.
- Personal issues relating to individuals will not be addressed via Twitter, except through Direct Messages if that is appropriate.
- Any member of staff using Twitter will adhere to our Customer Care policy.
