Main Water Features
The initial design provided for a main water feature in the middle of a concourse with public seating. The feature itself is in cast metal and is traditional in many ways.
It is very ornate and comprises of three bowls, the biggest of which is approx. 2.5 metres in diameter. At the top of the fountain features ornate figures entwined together from which water forms a ripple effect over the three bowls into the main pool.
This pool which is nine metre in diameter hosts a number of interesting features. The pool itself is tiled in an aqueous green tile and provision is included for a ring of water gushers, which forms a wonderful display. In addition underwater lighting has been installed which will provide a beautiful display and compliment the other floodlighting in the park. The outside of the pool is in cut stone with a five-inch limestone capping.
Four seats are also provided in this area, which compliment the Blanc de Bierge pathway.
