Waterford County Council's 'Artist in Schools Scheme' has been running since 1999.

Working with primary schools, an artist devises and implements an arts project with particular relevance for the group with which they are working.

The teachers are also directly involved with the aim of acquiring new skills that they can use when the project finishes.

We now adopt a partnership approach with each school. If your school is interested in details to take part in this scheme please contact the Arts Office for more information.

Crehana National School, Co. Waterford currently has the residency in their school.

Next up after Easter 2012, Clonea Power National School.
