Monaghan is a unique place for artists to get away from it all and concentrate on their art work. Set in a beautiful estate of 450 acres, the Centre provides a full support service for arts practitioners, including writing rooms, darkroom, music room, individual artists studios, rehearsal spaces and an extensive library. It also affords the opportunity for artists to network with each other. The award will enable the chosen artist to spend two weeks at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, covering all board and lodging expenses, plus the use of a studio if required. The successful applicant will be able to take advantage of this prestigious award to stay at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at a suitable time agreed with the Centre before the end of the prize-winning year.
