ARTLINKS Announces New Suite of Bursary Awards for 2010 Totaling €30,000

ARTLINKS is pleased to announce a suite of bursaries and awards for its membership in the five ArtLinks partner Counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow for 2010.  Director Cathy Fitzgerald remarked that there have been changes in 2010 to the ArtLinks Bursaries to reflect the changed economic climate. While the amounts of funds available for Bursaries has not changed significantly, the Awards have been divided so instead of one main bursary there will be in fact four bursaries, so that more people in the arts can be supported. And new for 2010, in addition to applications being accepted from individual practitioners, applications from art groups are also welcome. Please ensure that applications are submitted in advance of the April 1st closing date.

Four ArtLinks Bursaries per County

Four ArtLinks Bursary Awards will be awarded per ArtLinks partner counties, to a successful practitioner or arts group in the categories of dance, music, drama/theatre, literature, film and visual arts. There is one Award available for a maximum of €3,000 and three awards for a maximum of €1,000 available per county. These awards are designed to support the professional development of creative practitioners, or groups, aged 18 and over, who are resident within the ArtLinks five county partnership region.

The CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF ALL AWARDS IS 5pm, Thursday 1 April 2010.
An independent panel shall make decisions on all of these awards. Bursary notification will be as soon as is practicable following this assessment.  Please note late and/or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
