Public Art

The Department of the Environment and Local Government's   "Per Cent for Art" Scheme encourages Local Authorities throughout Ireland to commission artists to create work for coinciding with new capital or infrastructure projects.
The amount  of commission is approximately 1% of the overall project, subject to an upper limit of 63.500 euro approx.
Waterford County Council is, at present, undertaking a Public Art Programme that is central to the objectives of the County Council's Planning and Development Policy
