Childminding Development GrantIf you are a childminder, grandparent or relative etc who already provides a childminding service in your own (childminders) home or plan to set up a new childminding service you can apply for the grant. A limited number of grants are still available for Childminders. The €1,000 grant can be used to purchase a range of safety & childcare equipment and toys for the childminding service. Please note any Childminder who applied for the grant more than 2 years ago maybe eligible to apply again. Parent & Toddler Group Initiative 2010 Grants are now available through Waterford County Childcare Committee for Parent & Toddler Groups in the county. These grants recognize that P&T groups provide informal support to parents, grandparents and childminders as well as to children and that these groups are an important source of social contact especially for new parents and families to an area. P&T groups who are organized on a not for profit basis and involves parents in the community can make an application. Funding will be available for toys, equipment, books, training for parents, children's activities and limited funding towards insurance and rent. For further information on funding please see the www.omc.gov.ie or contact Andrew or Rosemarie on 058 48024 Community Childcare Subvention 2010Expression of Interest & Applications invited Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) enables Community-based not-for-profit childcare services to provide quality childcare services at reduced rates to disadvantaged parents who are eligible for the subvention. Community based services who are not already participating and wish to avail of this scheme are now invited to submit an expression of interest and complete an application form.
