EMAS Environmental Statement

Waterford County Council is committed to good practice in Environmental Management.

Our aim is to achieve EMAS registration for the entire Council, incrementally on a department by department basis, having already succeeded with having the Environment Section registered.

• Applies to all activities under the control of the Environment Section;

Is consistent with:

• Our commitment to sustainable development, as defined in the Corporate Plan 2010-2014 and County Development Plan 2005¬2011; and
• The Council's Safety Statement and policy on Health, Safety & Welfare in the Workplace; and
• Will be reviewed and revised as necessary, and coincident with the review of the Corporate Plan.

Is communicated to all employees and contractors and is available to members of the public.
