Air Pollution
Complaints concerning incidents of air pollution within Waterford County Council's functional area are referred to the Enforcement Team for investigation.
Where an offence has taken place, Warning Letters & Statutory Notices may subsequently be served on offenders requiring them to take measures to eliminate the cause of the air pollution, under the Air Pollution Act 1990. Should the pollution continue to occur, the matter can then be referred to the Courts for further action.
