NPPR - Non Principal Private Residence
The Local Government (Charges) Act 2009 introduced a €200 annual charge on Non Principal Private Residences, payable to the Local Authority in whose area the property concerned is located.
Collection of the Non Principal Private Residence Charge for 2011 commenced on the 31st March 2011. The 2011 charge is based upon the ownership and status of the property on the 31st March 2011. Please note the NPPR charge for 2011 must have been paid on or before the 30th June 2011 to avoid late payment fees.
Collection of the Non Principal Private Residence Charge for 2012 is due from the 31st March 2012 and is based upon the ownership and status of the property on the 31st March 2012. Please note that you must pay the NPPR charge for 2012 on or before the 30th June 2012 to avoid late payment fees.
Registration & Payment of the charge can be made:
1. On-line at https://www.nppr.ie/
2. Alternatively, renewal or registration forms can be downloaded online , completed and forwarded with payment (cheque /bank draft/postal order made payable to NPPR) to NPPR, Po. Box 11654, Dublin 8.
3. Payment will also be accepted at the Customer Care Desk located in Civic Offices, Dungarvan and relevant documentation must be completed before payment can be accepted. Cheques, Postal Orders, etc. should be made payable to N.P.P.R. and crossed “A/C Payee only”. A Handling Fee of €10 will apply.
