How can the Tenant Liaison Officer help?

If you wish to become involved in an existing Resident Group or would be interested in setting up a new Resident Group you should contact our Tenant Liaison Officer at the Civic Offices Dungarvan, telephone 058 21153. The Tenant Liaison Officer will also assist in providing training for Committee members, progress community initiatives and will attend meetings on request and facilitate them if required.
The Tenant Liaison Officer also organises pre-tenancy courses. These courses are now compulsory for all new tenants and provide an ideal opportunity for new tenants to get to know each other and build good community relationships. The pre-tenancy course covers all issues connected with your tenancy e.g. your rent, your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, Anti- Social Behaviour, maintenance of your home. Various guest speakers may attend such as Gardaí, Money Advice and Budgeting service, Clerk of Works, Gas/ESB etc.

Tenancy Training

The Tenant Liaison Officer will arrange carry out a pre-tenancy course with each successful housing applicant.  The training covers the responsibilities of the tenant and each tenant must sign a pre-tenancy agreement.
