Planning Permission
This section looks at the Planning application process, how to apply for planning permission and what documentation should be submitted with an application. It also looks at how to make a submission or objection to a planning application and making an appeal on a decision.
Preplanning Guidance
This section offers advice to potential applicants on making an application for permission. It looks at some of the questions that applicants may have on putting together an application and the policies that will be considered in assessing the application (eg Local housing need, minimum site size, etc).
After my application is decided
This section addresses some of the commonly asked questions raised after an application is decided, relating to conditions, requirements other than planning and what you can do if your permission has been refused.
Exempted Development
These questions look at what developments do not require planning permission and what conditions must be met for development to qualify as 'exempted development'. This section should be of benefit to those thinking of carrying out minor development works or those who have concerns as to whether such works are authorised.
