The predraft submission period closed on 18th May 2009. The Planning Authority have prepared a  Managers Report on Submissions to the County Development Plan (word .doc, 832 kbs) . This contains a summary of each of the submissions, an assessment of their contents and a recommendation with regard to the preparation of the draft plan.

If you missed the submission period, you will have another opportunity to make a submission at the draft plan stage when the draft plan is on display. It is anticipated that this will be early 2010. The draft submission period will again be advertised in the local newspapers, on local radio and on this website.

As part of the review of the County Development Plan, the Planning Authority has prepared an Issues Paper which sets out the main issues for consideration in the review of the plan and the preparation of a new County Development Plan.

Strategic Environmental Assessment - Scoping Document March 2009 (adobe .pdf, 314 kbs)
Waterford County Council is currently preparing the County Development Plan 2011 - 2017. The Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 require that a Strategic Environmental Assessment is carried out on the Plan and its likely significant impacts on the environment.
