Waterford County Development Plan 2011 - 2017TweetWaterford County Development Plan 2011 - 2017The Waterford County Development Plan 2011-2017 was made by the Elected Members of Waterford County Council on 14th February 2011. It was prepared over a two year period in accordance with the requirements set out in the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and the DoEHLG's Development Plan Guidelines. This six year Plan will have effect for the functional area of Waterford County Council from Monday 14th March 2011 and replaces the Waterford County Development Plan 2005-2011. The development strategies for Portlaw, Lismore and Tramore are set out in their respective Local Area Plans (2007-2013) and will be reviewed within two years of the adoption of this Plan. The Plan sets out the overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the County for the period 2011-2017. All planning applications recieved on or after the 14th March 2011 will be assessed under the new Plan. The Plan, which may be subject to interim variations, will remain in place until 2017. Structure of the Plan The Plan comprises of five Volumes. Outlined below is a brief description of each Volume, plus a link to the contents of each. Volume 1: Written Statement How to View the Plan Copies of the Waterford County Development Plan 2011-2017, Environmental Report and Appropriate Assessment may be inspected at all offices of Waterford County Council and the Public Libraries in the County. Alternatively it may be downloaded free of charge by clicking on the above links to the five Volumes. How to Purchase the Plan A hard copy of the Waterford County Development Plan 2011-2017, Environmental Report and Appropriate Assessment (and/or CD) may be purchased at the Customer Care Desk or at the Planning Department, Waterford County Council, Civic Offices, Dungarvan. Payment can be made by cash, Credit/Laser Card or bank cheque. The prices for the Plan are as follows:

Finally, you may order the Plan by post, by sending your written request (accompanied by a cheque/postal order that is made payable to Waterford County Council) to the Customer Care Desk, Waterford County Council, Civic Offices, Dungarvan.
