New Household Gold Star Service applies to Waiver Cctomers

If you are entitled to a Waiver for your household waste it will cost  €130  for 2012 and covers the cost of you your brown bin and refuse(grey bin) every 3 weeks. Please note this is a tag free service and we do not operate the old tag system anumore. You can avail of a convenient payment option of €50 every 4 months but if you are a council tenant you cannot pay with your rent. 

The Waiver Scheme is to assist people with payment of the fixed charge for Waste Collection where their only form of household income is comprised of the Social Welfare contributions listed below.

• Disability Allowance
• Job Seekers Allowance 
• Old Age Pension* and in receipt of a living alone allowance
• Widow(er) Pension and in receipt of a living alone allowance
• Supplementary Welfare Payment from Health Board
• Carers Allowance
• Blind Persons Pension
• Pre-Retirement Allowance

Please note that the above criteria will be strictly adhered to. 
It is important that all applicants ensure that they satisfy the qualifying criteria. Any applications which do not fall into any of the above categories will not qualify under the scheme. 

(A Waiver Application Form must be completed annually in respect of all applicants. Please call us at 058-20846 to obtain a Waiver Application Form for 2011).
