Waterford Energy Bureau

Waterford Energy Bureau (WEB) is the local Energy Agency for Waterford City and County.

  Based at the Waterford County Council offices in Tramore, we provide a range of energy management, energy conservation and renewable energy services to the general public, to businesses and to both Local Authorities of Waterford.

The Waterford Energy Bureau is one of 15 Regional / Local Energy Agencies situated throughout the Island of Ireland and one of 400 located throughout the European Union.

General Objectives of Waterford Energy Bureau includes:

• Energy Awareness and dissemination, providing information on renewable energy and energy efficiency products and services.
• Energy Management and Procurement including negotiation of energy supply contracts, managing electricity accounts and energy optimization of Local Authority sites.
• Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Projects including the design and project management for Local Authorities community Groups and Businesses of Waterford.
• WEB has developed and run training courses and workshops for Local Authority staff, general public, businesses and farming groups.
• WEB have worked with the Local Authorities of Waterford to develop sustainable energy / climate change policies in City / County and local development plans.
