Award winning author and explorer Sir Ranulph Feinnes is one of the two keynote speakers that will take to the stage at the Blackwater Community School on Saturday. Born in the United Kingdom, Ranulph has led over thirty expeditions to the North and South Poles, the Arabian Desert, the Nile and Mount Everest to name but a few and has documented his travels in no less than eighteen best-selling books.

The second of Saturday’s keynote speakers is Tim Severin; the explorer who has sailed a leather boat across the Atlantic in the wake of St. Brendan the Navigator, ridden the route of the first Crusader knights across Europe to Jerusalem and trailed the origins of Moby Dick, the great white whale among the aboriginal sea hunters of the Pacific. Tim has written many books detailing his adventures as well as recording his journeys in documentary films and is a regular contributor to the National Geographic Magazine.
