The Old Market House Arts Centre, Lower Main Street, Dungarvan is currently hosting the ‘Waterford Reunion Exhibition’. This exhibition features works from artists who attended Art College together in Waterford city in the late 1970’s. Originally the brainchild of the late Mick Flavin, Tramore, one of the past pupils Richard Moore now based in Drogheda took on the task of contacting people after Mick’s untimely death.  This reunion exhibition brings together a selection of their artworks and there is a variety of media and styles on display. Some of the exhibiting artists still live in the region, whilst others are based further afield. This show features the work of Richard Moore, Bobby Cahill, Joan Cahill, Marjorie Cunningham, Patrick Palmer, Clodagh Jolly, Edmund Ryan, John Murphy, Ben Hennessy, Aidan Walsh, Kevin Power and Ann Lennon-Power. Dungarvan Mayor Michéal Cosgrove and County Mayor Billy Kyne officiated on the evening.

The upstairs gallery Seomra de Paor is hosting ‘Market 12’ with various artists including new works from Clare Power and Jim Lawn.

The Arts Centre is open Tuesday to Friday 11am to 5pm (lunch 1.30 to 2.30pm) and Saturday from 1pm to 5pm. These exhibitions continue until 13th October 2012. See also details of events in the venue for the Storytelling South East Festival on www.storytellingsoutheast.com
